Hello 2021 from KVFB

Greetings everyone.  It has been a long time since I posted on my blog.  I'm going to try to work on updating KFVB.NET over the course of the year.  This site is one of my many hobbies and other things just take priority.  One driving factor in wanting to update the site is because the kayak community has lost several resources when looking for launch locations.  Since my site's creation we've lost the launch location maps from all of the links I previously shared with the exception of Wild River Outfitters.  Sadly with the closing of Wild River Outfitters that resource will soon be lost.  The good news is I was able to archive the locations from WRO and I will be setting up my launch locations based on their info.  Until then good luck & tight lines!

7th Annual GBFA Fishing Fleamarket - NEW LOCATION!

This years GBFA Fishing Fleamarket will be held on March 7th. Due to weather he past few years the location of the event has moved to the Chesapeake Convention Center. With this change I think this will be an outstanding event this year!

Here is a link to their location on Google Maps:

Packed up for the season

Well this year was pretty slow due to lack of a vehicle & kids graduating high school. Ive got my gear stores for the winter since I don't have cold weather gear. Next year should be better. I'm going to try my best to go camping from my yak next year. Probably start slow with a weekend trip to Lake Drummond. I'll keep everyone posted with any builds I do during the off months.

Been a slow year

It's been a slow start of the year. Basically life is getting in the way of fishing. Between work for myself, my wife and 1 of my daughters then both of my daughters getting ready to graduate highschool and only 2 vehicles. Well you see the problem. Hopefully I will be getting on the water soon and can generate some new posts.

New crate/rod holders made & installed
New seat cushions made & installed
New rod leashes made & installed
New Yak Attack Zooka tube installed

Here are a few pics from everything.

This weekend I made something similar to Yak Attack's Sidewinder for anchor line management.  I made a video of the process which is now in the Videos section.
